back" festival, slated for November 15th., 2008
located on the front lawn of Pine Island Resort on Pine
Island; the resort is located at 5120 Stringfellow Rd.

St. James City is located on the Southern end of
Pine Island, its one of several small villages on this
narrow barrier island. Pine Island is situated just
across the inter-coastal waterway from Sanibel ,
Captiva, North Captiva and Cayo
Costa Islands, just minutes from The Gulf Of
Mexico. The Northern side of the Island hosts the
villages of Pineland and Bokeelia, which rest at the
Southern edge of Charlotte Harbor, near Boca Grande Pass
"the tarpon capital of the world." For information

$15.00 donation at the gate. Advance passes are just a
$10.00 donation click here. Kids under 11 years of age
and under are free with a paid adult, Campers and RV's
can stay on site at Pine Island Resort, (239) 283-2415,
with full hook up's. You will find Pine Island Resort,
also has a nice selection of Cozy Cabins and other
accommodations at reasonable prices. |
The "Ninth
Annual Southwest Florida Music Festival",
previously known as "The Southwest Florida Folk-n-Blues
Festival", is a Matlacha Mariners production. The
Mariners are a Community Oriented 501c3 Non Profit
Organization, based in Matlacha Florida, ( yes,,,you've
got to go through Matlacha, to get to Pine Island and
this year's festival, but don't blink) pronounced by
locals as "Mat-La-Shay." You'll find Matlacha a quaint
barrier island that hosts a wide variety of colorful,
art galleries, gift shops, restaurants and lodging
accommodations, as well as "the fishin'est bridge in the
world."
This event has been Organized to Benefit Elementary
School Music Education. So please try to make it to
the festival, it promises to showcase a full day of
Fantastic Music, Great Food & Ice Cold Beverages. It
all takes place near beautiful St. James City, which is
located along the Sunny Coast of Southwest Florida, what
more could anyone ask for, a warm breeze, good food,
cold beverages and great entertainment. We doubt if
there's any better way to help the kids with their music
education and enjoy yourself at the same time. Entrance
